Formfinding Optimized Shells

This webinar will focus designing shell type structures with emphasis on structural optimization. We will use a two-step process where the shell will first be generated in Grasshopper and then evaluated in Karamba for its structural properties. The goal is for participants to understand design iteration by utilizing a feedback loop of information, in this case structural analysis. To emphasize this design approach, we will introduce Kangaroo for shell generation and connect it to Karamba to help us understand the structural elements. Once an optimal solution has been determined, the design will be baked in Rhino and exported as an .obj geometry file.
